Jennifer and her Sayshun Crisis ^ _ ^
So my boyfriend had this crazy mad passion .. this infamous " longboarding". I swore that he would never get me on one of these things.. Wasn't quite sure what it exactly was .. how it was different from skateboarding,trust me, it's very different.I watched him early on. I was impressed. More than I usually am with him.Still .. I declined this sport. I remember he made me stand on it one night early on..held me the whole half a foot we went. Balance was never my friend.I watched his passion from afar,listening to all the hype and lingo he would go on about how different the boards were and why he needed even more than the seven occupying his bedroom at the moment.I tried to understand.. failed for the most part, but I tried. I'll even admit it was interesting listening to him talk about it.Even though he says he rambles on too much about it, I have yet to get tired of it. So recently we went out, I said I'd watch.He puppy dog eyed me into getting on the board.His wish, my command. I did, and I managed not to die.
It was even fun, scary at first, but fun. I managed to.. stand on the board, and move just a little bit ..Then we were at it again, he's a good teacher. I'm worried he'll get frustrated at my lack of skill. I managed to stand on the board, learn to push my self, ( hardcore, I know) Carve a little, and stop .. though that needs improvement. One long lunch hour later the sayshun crisis was discovered amoungst many other boards.( litterly so many choices everywhere my mind was boggled! ) I then just recently bought it, a pricey little bugger, but It's worth. I hope I'm not taking his sport. I like that I can do it with him, and it's actually something I enjoy so far.
This summer will be amazing. Learning to longboard with Jouchelle ( we both want to learn tech sliding : D )under the guidance of Jorelle and some support from Junelle.
