August 8th, 2010

As of late I have decided that my photography skills aren't that great, and that's something I want to get better at. I want to be able to take good pictures, I want people to be impressed with them and wish they could take pictures like me, as I am with many photographers. Today I decided I wanted to try macro water drop pictures. I don't think they turned out too bad, but then again, sometimes I think higher of myself then I should, I want honest opinions and to know what people think I could do to make them better, sure I'll be hurt if you don't like them, I'm not going to lie, but it will help me in the end.
I've tried a lot of different artistic routes, and I've never really stuck with them just because I get intimidated by real natural talent, and I'm scared to put in the effort just in case I still don't get as good as others. I always give up because I want to be automatically good at it, without effort and practice and stuff like that. Photography is something I would like to stick with though. I guess it's time for me to step up my game? =P

  1. argh I haven't read the last 3 posts yet >< But I think if you are serious about photography you should enroll in photography classes (unless you major in photography?)

The only way to be good at something is to learn it 100%. My friend went from a gal who had never held a dslr to being hired by a portrait shop last week... just because she took a 6 month course on photography. It really ups your skill that much~

-I suck at photography too but I dont mind hahaha.
