July 3rd 2010

So today I went to Canmore with My mother and father. I was supposed to wake up at six, I set my alarm, but it never went off, so lucky someone came to wake me up, like I asked them not too. We were out of the house by eight thirty because my Mother wanted to go for a street fair that was starting at ten. It wasn't as wonderful as either her or I expected, and my father was actually patient and let her shop! I don't think I've ever seen him like that. After not much success at the street stalls we went to the other little stores around Canmore.
I FOUND GREEN TEA KITKATS. I have actually been looking for these things for a while. There numtastical actually. I've already devoured one box. And I might even be willing to share.
WONDERFUL NEW SLIPPERS, NO? I sort of love them, I used to have a rainbow pair just like it, and as soon as my parents saw it, they as well new they should be mine, because I'm feral you see.
It was actually really nice to do something as a family, because normally we don't. It was nice that we all got along, that everyone was having a good time, and that we could do it together, I know it isn't everyone in my family, but still its better than nothing. Honestly if the brothers came along things wouldn't have gone as smoothly as they did. After Mom and I were finished shopping, we went to go look at the chalets that we had booked for our family reunion, that I've been told were having in like two weeks. It was actually a pretty decent place, and I'm excited because my uncle Al is coming, and he is sort of amazing. He plays the ukulele, end of story, he has already made top of cool history in my family. Then we went for food at some Korean bbq thingy : ) Whatever I had = yucky. Mom's food = Yummy, very nummy barbecued beef ^ _ ^

Once we got home it was time to make some icecream! The recipe and instructions on what we were supposed to do. I let Mother touch my camera, because SOMEONE says there is not enough Jennifer pictures in her own blog. Father and I measuring ingredients. I kind of don't like this picture. But its a picture non the less. Thirty minutes and one quick outfit change later ( because I had to show mom how the thingy I bought looked on me) The ice cream was finished, it was soft compared to the stuff you buy at the store, and you had to eat it quick before it melted.
The finished product, IT WAS SO GOOD. I feel totally sick, ( lactose intolerance) But it was really creamy and smooth. : )
