July 13th 2010

SO I'm home :) I thought it was a wonderful trip, I love my Mother and I'm glad we can do things like this. We could just talk, and I learned a lot about her, about her family, and things I didn't know, It makes me respect her more, and surprisingly feel better about myself. I've learned that maybe now things need to change, and I need to reconnect with what matters most, stop caring about my grownup things and just be a kid, stop thinking about the consequences as much, and just enjoy these days while I still have them.

July 8th

So today Mother and I took off to Creston, B.C. to go visit my auntie Burt, It was sort of a on a whim trip, because my aunt was up visiting other family, so mom asked me if I would like to go see them, and I thought it would be a lovely idea.

We took off this morning, after dropping Joe off at work. On the road by eight thirty, out of the city by nine I think, due to construction. It’s nice to travel with my mother, we actually stop, Unlike when traveling with my father and you’re lucky if you get a bathroom break on the ten hour drive. We stopped at a couple of places on our way, and our six hour drive turned into an eight hour drive. It wasn’t too bad, except it was always too hot when we got back inside the car, I was starting to get heat headaches. We then stopped at the home of the world’s biggest truck, because we did that last time and I decided I needed a new picture in front of it and that would now become tradition. After that we went and looked around the town and came across some great closing out sales – new bathing suit for seven dollars : ) That’s right, I’m cheap : ) I took lots of pictures, and even took some video, You never know, it might make a good memory, not a quality videographer ( fancy word ) but it shall do to appease me.

After we arrived we checked in and got a message from the front desk saying my aunty Burt was here and looking for us, she had just arrived less than ten minutes before and dropped into the hotel to check in on us. She came in to check in us and then took us over to aunt Norma, a woman I had never met but apparently I’m related to. She’s actually a pretty cool person, and she seemed to know how to get pictures just right, telling me to sit up straight, or telling my mom to move in the light, not big stuff, but she was trying to be helpful. We walked around town, went to dinner and some Greek place, stuffed my mouth with way too much food, and Aunt Norma led us to this wonderful Japanese garden. They made crude jokes at dinner, walked around

a couple making out in the grass yelling “do you think those are two boys? “, or trying to flirt with the millions of boy here for something to do with bike riding this weekend” ( So, we were walking back to Norma’s these bikers are coming up the hill, they see me and the backs of everyone else, “heyy Ladies, how’s it going? The older ladies burst out laughing and start talking to him, he seemed surprised because he didn’t think the group was a bunch of old ladies, I giggle and he keeps on riding) So, the internet isn’t working, so right now it’s just a word document I’m typing.

The view out of the front of the car, on the first leg of our journey.

Mother and Myself in the car :) I amused her by serenading her most of the drive.

Mom had to smoke, so we pulled over at some gas station and went for a walk, this is what we found.

Mom had to pick up rocks, its what she does.

The water was cold, I needed to put my boots back on : 3

For some reason, I like this picture.

Mother taking pictures of me while I fix my dress =P

Doesn't she look so pleased with herself ? : 3

The worlds biggest truck ^ _ ^ Mother and I stopped here last trip we took as a joke, we had to do it again so now its tradition.

Damn, look at those guns.

Sparwood, the name of the place.

She was not happy with my picture taking.

The mall there, we stopped on our way there and our way back, this store, fields was having a closing out sale, mother and I like our sales :)

Once we got to Creston, there was this really cool park, Mother diving into the fountain. The lighting was really bad, but I like silhouettes.

My Aunty Burt, she's a wino, no big deal.

A sign in the park, a gift from there sister city in Japan.

The park was gorgeous.

'nuff said.

My whiteness glows.

; )

Mom said she liked this one.
